Job Functions & Description

The position of Manager Trainee falls under the Leadership Intern Program, which was created to give recent college graduates the opportunity to learn more about the multi-family business through the eyes of an industry leader from the ground up. 

 

All individuals in this position will follow a similar plan which will include periods of time in Maintenance, Leasing, and Management roles.   The purpose of these assignments is to educate the Trainee's on the specific areas of the business, so that as they grow in the program they are familiar with the requirements that are needed to successfully operate a multi-million dollar asset. 

 

The goal of the program is to eventually place each one of the Trainee's in positions to help the company  grow.  These positions can be anywhere from onsite or even at the corporate level.   Until that is determined, the Trainee's will continue to be places on assignments until those positions are available or the Trainee themselves decide which path they choose to take.

 

Please note that Lynd operates in many markets across the country, so opportunities are not just limited to thosein San Antonio or Texas for that matter.  All opportunities will be shared with the group as they become available.


Qualifications & Requirements

 

Education:

Must have a Bachelors Degree to apply, preferably in a business related field but will consider others based on previous work experience.

 

 

Experience:

Previous work experience is required, preferably in a customer service, sales, or management based role.  All other forms of employment will be considered as well.

 

 

Required Skills:

Computer literate in MS Office, especially Word, Excel. & PowerPoint, Publisher or any other design software or application is a plus.

 

Ability to communicate effectively with people both verbally and

in written format

 

Individuals who can communicate in Spanish or other languages

is a plus

 

Ability to analyze market and financial data, then create and implement action plans

 

Ability to create new marketing campaigns & material for

Operation Support

 

Ability to lead a team of individuals on specific assignments

 

Ability to follow someone else's lead and be a contributing team member

 

Ability to work independently on assignments with minimal supervision

 

Ability to withstand difficult working conditions, both physically and emotionally 

 

 

Position Requirements:

This job will require physical labor for portions of the program.  General Maintenance assignments will require the most and will be the first stage of the program. After that Leasing and General Office assignments will require sales and audit walks at multiple sites for asset evaluations.  In addition to this, physical labor maybe required at any time of the program for the sake of the assignment at hand. 

 

Additional requirements also includes access to dependable forms of transportation.  The program will require the individual to be place at multiple sites at times, so  it is imperative that all individuals in this program have dependable forms of transportation. 

 

The ability to travel on short notice and for extended periods of time is also a requirement. Unfortunately due to the nature of the business and the opportunities that are randomly availability, travel plans are often given on short notice.  Long Term assignments have a little more notice than short, as additional planning is required.  Long Term assignments can be anything from 1 week to 6 months depending on the need.

 

 

Appearance:

Professional appearance will be required on all levels of the program.  Each individual  in the program will be ask to follow the Lynd Wear Attire appropriate for each position.  Please note that certain assignments will require specific wear that will be determined  by the supervisor of that task.
